Are you in the mood for some smoked brisket, ribs, sausage, or ham accompanied by potato salad, coleslaw, and other delicious sides? Perhaps you would rather satisfy your sweet tooth by pigging out on some homemade peach cobbler or banana pudding? If this sounds like your type of cooking then check out Last Chance BBQ and Grill located at 301 North Texas Street in De Leon, Texas.
Last Chance BBQ and Grill is an old fashioned barbeque restaurant owned by Emilie Royall and operated by Eric Royall. Eric came up with the idea to start his own restaurant in De Leon while participating in a barbeque cookoff after he realized there weren’t a lot of places to eat in town. With that being said, he has competed at several National Barbecue Cookoffs, however, the name for the restaurant did not come to him until one of his later competitions when he entered “Last Chance BBQ” in for his team name and it ended up sticking. Then he put “And Grill” on the end because that’s the type of restaurant he wanted, hence the name “Last Chance BBQ and Grill” was born and debuted August 2, 2019.
Open Friday through Sunday from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM, Eric and his staff are dedicated to serving the freshest and tastiest food in town. Everything they serve has been cooked that day and nothing is held over, therefore, they operate on a first come first serve basis. Some of the more popular items on the menu include Eric’s award-winning slow-cooked brisket, which comes sliced or chopped, as well as his spare pork ribs which can be bought by the plate or by the pound.
Additionally, Last Chance BBQ and Grill has a variety of sides, desserts, drinks, sandwiches, and other food to accompany their barbeque that is worth checking out. If you have any questions about what else they serve, feel free to check out their menu below.
For additional information feel free to call them at (254) 893-3222 or email them a firstname.lastname@example.org. With that being said, I highly encourage you to stop on by Last Chance BBQ and Grill the next time you are in De Leon and check out Eric’s slow-cooked barbeque and homemade sides for yourself. You won’t regret it.
