CeCe Ochs is a jewelry maker in comanche county, Texas.
She grew up near Palo Duro Canyon outside of Amarillo. She loved spending time outdoors and looking at everything God has created. In fact, she was so inspired by the beauty of what she saw that she decided she wanted to be a part of creating something equally as beautiful so she began hand-making jewelry as a hobby. For example, she handmakes bracelets, earrings, rosaries, arrowhead pendants for both boys and girls, as well as other necklaces.
Additionally, within the last five years she has begun making copper wire wrapped jewelry as well as many other unique pieces that can be seen on her facebook page, Spurs of Texas, which is named after the ranch her ancestors had when they came to Texas from Scotland. Today, she partners with Comanche Mercantile to help market and sell her creations. When asked about how her experience has been partnering with the Comanche Mercantile CeCe had nothing but praises for them and all they have done for her. She loves them and their operating system because it allows her to make and sell her jewelry without turning it into a huge business that she would have to put all of her time and energy into.
She stated, “All I have to do is create pieces which I love to do in my spare time and the mercantile handles the business which works out perfectly for me because I’m retired.”
